What this course is

Complete SBR tuition, not a supplement.

This is a full tuition and revision programme, not a top-up exam-technique course. If you're wondering whether you'll also need a separate Kaplan- or BPP-style tuition course alongside it: you won't. This is designed to be your main route through the syllabus, from first principles to exam-ready.

The business model behind it is deliberately simple: one course, one price, one live cohort, with Rosie teaching the full syllabus live and personally marking two full mock exams.

What this isn't: tiered pricing or a cheaper stripped-down version, weekly individual homework marking, routine 1:1 calls, or a separate application course bolted on top. One complete programme.

How Rosie teaches SBR

Application is built in, not bolted on.

The course should feel like being taught by a technical accountant who can make difficult reporting understandable. Every topic follows the same route from theory to exam answer.

01

Understand it

What's happening commercially, explained before the technical language.

02

See it

A small example or analogy, where it genuinely helps you visualise the rule.

03

Apply it

Change the facts, introduce judgement, work through the accounting consequence.

04

Answer it

See how that reasoning becomes a concise, applied SBR response.

What's included

Everything works as one programme.

12 live tuition classes
Teach the core syllabus properly over Weeks 1–6.
Complete course notes
Act as your main SBR tuition text, including examinable areas not taught in full live.
Recordings
Every live class recorded, for catch-up and revision through the sitting.
Weekly study plan
What to learn, consolidate and practise each week.
Directed practice
A guided route through questions, not an undirected question bank.
WhatsApp access
Sensible access for questions during the ten weeks.
Mock 1
Diagnose weaknesses after tuition and set priorities.
Mock 2
Test progress under exam conditions, with time to act on feedback.
Revision sessions
Move from knowing topics to handling mixed, unfamiliar exam scenarios.
The programme

10 weeks, live online.

Classes run twice a week in the evenings, live online, building up to two full mock exams and a personal debrief before the exam. Financial Instruments and Groups sessions run a little longer than the rest, given the material they cover.

The exact week-by-week order can shift a little between cohorts, around bank holidays and other scheduling constraints, so rather than fix a generic structure here, download the actual timetable for the open cohort below.

Course notes

Written to be your main SBR text, not extra reading.

Concise, teachable and complete, rather than a 700-page textbook you never finish. Every worked example sits immediately after the teaching it demonstrates, using original scenarios throughout.

  • Diagrams, decision routes and tables used wherever they teach better than prose
  • Original scenarios and worked examples throughout, not recycled past-paper text
  • Every chapter ends with a Study Plan, a competency checklist and a Rosie Tip
  • Full syllabus coverage, including smaller areas covered as directed reading
Mocks & feedback

Two full mocks, personally marked by Rosie.

Mock 1 comes after core tuition, to diagnose weaknesses and set priorities. Mock 2 sits around ten days before the exam, close enough to matter, with enough time left to act on the feedback.

Feedback on each mock covers:

  • Overall score, and where marks were lost
  • Technical knowledge
  • Issue spotting and application
  • Answer construction and clarity
  • Professional skills
  • Time management and exam execution
  • Three individual priorities before the next mock, or the exam
Extra support & materials

Marked mocks and digital materials, bought on their own.

These are standalone add-ons for the December 2026 sitting: useful whether or not you're on the full tuition course, and separate from the two mocks already included for enrolled students.

SBR Tuition & Revision with Rosie - On Demand

A self-paced version of the full course, currently being produced for self-studiers who want to learn in their own time rather than joining a live cohort. Price and launch date to follow.

Support & recordings

Useful access, without an always-on obligation.

Questions are welcome throughout the course. Rosie normally responds within one working day. WhatsApp isn't a 24/7 service, and full practice answers aren't individually marked through chat, that's what the two mocks are for.

All live classes are recorded and stay available through your sitting. The course is still built around live participation; recordings are there for catch-up and revision, not as a separate on-demand product.

Who it's for

First-time students and resitters alike.

The common need isn't simply more content. It's structured tuition that helps you understand difficult reporting, recognise what a scenario is really asking, and turn that understanding into a credible SBR answer.

  • First-time students who want one main tuition route, rather than piecing together multiple providers
  • Resitters who've seen the syllabus before but need stronger understanding, application, judgement and exam execution
  • Students who value live teaching, a clear weekly route, and individual feedback on full mock attempts
About Rosie

Technical depth, taught plainly.

Rosie Freelove is FCCA-qualified, with a background in technical financial reporting built from working inside finance functions, not from teaching a syllabus at a distance. She also runs R Freelove Advisory, a technical accounting advisory business, and SBR Mentoring, supporting students on exam application and technique.
