Technical accounting advisory, when the answer needs to be right.
I give finance teams an experienced, senior view on the accounting matters that need one: IFRS and FRS 102 analysis, revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, and the judgement calls that sit around them. I advise and support your team. The accounting decisions and conclusions stay yours to make.
Five ways to bring in senior technical support.
From a single defined question to an ongoing monthly relationship. Each is scoped and documented at the level the issue actually needs, and priced on that basis.
Technical Accounting Advice
For a defined accounting question where you need senior technical input without a lengthy formal paper. I review the relevant requirements, flag the judgement calls and options, and give clear, practical advice on the implications and next steps, with a short written follow-up where it's useful.
Technical Position Review
A proportionate review of a position your team is already working towards. I look at the facts, the relevant IFRS or FRS 102 requirements, and what supports or challenges the proposed treatment, then document the analysis and the judgements involved, deliberately lighter than a full memorandum.
Technical Accounting Memorandum
The full, formally documented deliverable for complex or substantive matters: background, the accounting issue, the relevant requirements, detailed analysis, alternative treatments where relevant, and the judgements and decisions your team needs to make. Written to support your own internal records and discussion.
Ongoing Technical Support
Monthly access for teams that already have finance leadership in place, but want me available when a technical question comes up. It buys access, continuity and priority. Anything that grows into a bigger piece of work is scoped and quoted on its own terms.
Technical Training
Practical, scenario-led sessions built around your team's own transactions and recurring issues: FRS 102 changes, IFRS 18 implementation, or a targeted standard. A single session or a multi-part programme.
This work supports your team's own decision-making. It isn't an audit or assurance conclusion, and where a point turns on company law, including the Companies Act 2006, it's considered as part of the analysis and flagged rather than treated as legal advice.
The questions I get asked most.

A short conversation is usually the fastest way to work out whether it's a quick question, a scoped project, or an ongoing role.
